NOTICE TO MEMBERS
The Lake Tanglewood Public Water Supply has been notified by the Texas Commission On Environmental Quality that our water supply exceeds the secondary maximum contaminant level for Fluoride, as described in Section 290.113 of the “Drinking Water Standard”. The secondary maximum contaminant level is 2 mg/l of Fluoride; T.C.E.Q. samples show an average of 2.76 mg/l in our supply. The primary maximum contaminant level is 4 mg/l. There is no immediate health hazard for water containing fluoride at this level. Excessive Fluoride in water may cause molting (staining) of teeth in children less than 14 years of age.
